Frequently Asked Questions

Are Ray-Ban 4306 sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Ray-Ban RB4306 is fully prescription-ready. Ray-Ban builds prescription lenses alongside the frame for a precise fit that delivers clear vision at all angles. You can add prescription lenses during checkout, and the frames are compatible with single vision, progressive, and photochromic prescription options.

What face shapes do Ray-Ban 4306 sunglasses fit best?

The Ray-Ban RB4306's irregular hexagonal shape flatters oval, heart, square, and round face shapes. The frames feature a high bridge fit design, making them ideal for those with a higher nose bridge and lower cheekbones. With a 54mm lens width and 19mm bridge, they offer a regular/standard fit suitable for medium to large faces.

What is the keyhole bridge on the RB4306 and why does it matter?

The keyhole bridge is a vintage-inspired design feature that distributes the frame's weight to the sides of the nose rather than just the top, providing enhanced comfort for all-day wear. This classic bridge style properly settles over prominent nose bridges and is particularly comfortable for people with wider noses.

Do Ray-Ban 4306 sunglasses come with UV protection?

Yes, all Ray-Ban RB4306 sunglasses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection regardless of lens type. Whether you choose classic solid lenses, polarized, gradient, or photochromic Transitions options, your eyes are fully protected from harmful ultraviolet rays.

What are the measurements of the Ray-Ban RB4306?

The Ray-Ban RB4306 measures 54mm lens width, 19mm bridge width, 145mm temple length, and 48.2mm lens height, with a total frame width of 133mm. These dimensions provide a regular/standard fit designed for medium to large face shapes with high bridge fit architecture.

What's the difference between the RB4306 and Ray-Ban's classic round styles?

The RB4306 offers a modern hexagonal/irregular shape that's a geometric evolution of classic round frames, featuring distinctive angular edges and a more contemporary aesthetic. Unlike traditional round models, the 4306 is crafted from lightweight propionate acetate rather than metal, and includes the signature keyhole bridge for enhanced comfort and vintage appeal.

Ray-Ban RB4306 vs. Similar Styles: Which Is Right for You?

The Ray-Ban RB4306 occupies a sweet spot between classic and contemporary, but how does it compare to other popular Ray-Ban frames? Here's what you need to know.

RB4306 vs. Hexagonal 3548N: Plastic or Metal?

Both frames share the distinctive hexagonal shape, but the materials tell different stories. The RB4306 features lightweight propionate acetate construction that's comfortable for all-day wear and won't conduct heat or cold. The 3548N offers classic metal frames with adjustable nose pads and flat crystal lenses for exceptional optical clarity. Choose the 4306 if you prefer modern plastic frames with a high bridge fit and lower price point ($116.52–$215). Opt for the 3548N if you want the timeless metal aesthetic and customizable nose pad fit, though expect to pay more ($143.50–$244).

RB4306 vs. Erika 4171: Geometric Edge or Soft Curves?

The Erika 4171 is Ray-Ban's bestselling oversized round frame with a rubberized finish and feminine appeal. While both are acetate frames with keyhole bridges, the RB4306 delivers a more angular, unisex aesthetic with its irregular hexagonal shape. The Erika provides more face coverage and starts at a lower price ($105.70), making it ideal for those seeking a softer, more rounded look. The RB4306 suits customers wanting geometric definition, a high bridge fit, and a more contemporary edge.

RB4306 vs. Round Classic 2447: Modern Twist or Timeless Icon?

The 2447 is Ray-Ban's classic perfectly round acetate frame—the vintage standard that the RB4306 reimagines. If you're drawn to retro, circular frames with no angular elements, the 2447 delivers pure vintage appeal. But if you want that round aesthetic with a modern geometric twist, the RB4306's hexagonal shape offers more visual interest and contemporary style while maintaining the same comfortable acetate construction and similar pricing.

Bottom line: Choose the RB4306 if you want a modern hexagonal shape in lightweight acetate, a high bridge fit, and a distinctive look that stands out from traditional round frames. It's the perfect middle ground between classic Ray-Ban heritage and fashion-forward design.
